• June 24, 2009 - The Star Tribune celebrates locally made ice cream and the Birchwood Cafe for its partnership with Izzy's Ice Cream -- stop in for a Birchwood chocolate chip cookie / Izzy's vanilla ice cream sandwich!
• June 11, 2009 - The Star Tribune raises its glass to the 50 people, products and places that emphasize why Minnesota is the place for those who love to eat. The Birchwood Cafe and owner Tracy Singleton are named for creating "the template for the successful neighborhood gathering place."
