At the Birchwood, we celebrate 8 seasons: Spring, Summer, Scorch, Autumn, Dusk, Frost, Winter, and Thaw. We don't take our cues from the calendar, rather we look to our farmer friends, and in the colder months their root cellars, to guide and inspire our creativity in the kitchen.

Heat’s on and we couldn’t be happier. After a few good rains, the fields are wildly bountiful. It’s as though someone threw the switch and the juicy tomatoes, new potatoes, plump eggplants, fat carrots, and string beans are all marching in. The basil, dill and cilantro seem to be everywhere, filling the kitchen with a sweet, green perfume. Squashes are a'plenty and the melons are juicy and sweet. SCORCH is short -- our menu is long. Dig in!
